Dr. Zakir Naik’s much-anticipated tour of Pakistan will take him to three major cities: Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Every city has its importance in terms of historical background and as well in connection to the Islamic world. These are some of the sacred religious sites that Naik has selected for his tours and therefore they have so much cultural value.
In his first location of the tour Dr. Naik is to give lectures at Bagh-e-Quaid, a venue situated across the monument of Pakistan’s founding father Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Karachi is in fact the largest city of Pakistan and the public wants to listen to what Dr. Naik has to say about Islam after having studied it so deeply.
Next, Dr. Naik will head to Lahore, which is Pakistan’s second most extensive city but culturally significant. Lahore: has a longer history and carries scholarly importance that makes it suitable for Dr. Naik to express his views regarding teachings of Islam. These lectures delivered in Lahore are believed to be based on understanding the Quran and implementation of its principles and contents to contemporary life.
Finally, Dr. Naik will pay last visit in Islamabad which is the capital of the country. Islamabad has a reputation for being relatively peaceful and for its political and theological debate. Dr. I find Naik’s visit here symbolic as it links the spiritual advice he brings here to the very center of the nation’s leadership.
In each city, his son Dr. Fariq Naik will present a set of lectures as well which will address a different topic and will be from the younger generation’s point of view.
